Two recruiting corporations are at loggerheads over the Saudi embassy’s move to begin visa service centers in Dhaka under two leading recruiting marketers. A section of the corporations, who are fashionable individuals of Bangladesh Association of International Recruiting Agencies (Baira), says the plan to set up two Saudi visa centers is nothing but a ploy to create a cartel in Saudi Arabia’s labor recruitment zone.
But the Baira executive committee, which is assisting the visa centers, says such accusations are hypothetical. It also claims that the circulation will ease the procedural issues and benefit all recruiting sellers.
Saudi employers usually perform the search activity for a person seller. When the people are matched, and the offers are final, the employers send the visa numbers to the retailers online.
The agents then prepare all of the files, including the passports of the aspirant migrants, and submit those to the Saudi Embassy for visa stamping.
Recently, the embassy decided to open two visa provider centers in Dhaka—one on Kamal Ataturk Avenue in Banani and the other on Gulshan North Avenue in Gulshan-2.
The embassy does not desire to permit the sellers to collect on its premises as it is soon shifting to the diplomatic area in Baridhara.
The recruiting retailers will need to post the documents to the centers, which will then forward them to the embassy. The centers will deliver the papers to the sellers after the visas are stamped.
Abdul Alim, a pacesetter of the Saudi Visa Service Centre Nirmool Committee, which comprises the overall individuals of Baira, said they don’t have any hassle with the embassy opening visa centers.
But the centers will be led through two top recruiting sellers: Mohd Noor Ali, who deals with the director of Unique Eastern Pvt Ltd, and Mohammad Abdul Hye, who owns Greenland Overseas. “There is an immediate conflict of a hobby right here,” he said.
“The documents person dealers post include addresses of the employers. As the two recruiting retailers will run the centers and get to realize the employers’ contacts, they can subsequently remove different sellers’ business.”The provider centers will rate Tk 1, one hundred as prices in line with a passport; however, they can hike the expenses each time they want, and recruiting businesses will have no say he delivered.
Alim also mentioned that they submitted a memo to the State Minister for Expatriates Welfare and Overseas Employment, Imran Ahmad, protesting the circulate.
According to the memo, Baira, searching for evaluations from its standard participants, endorsed the concept of Saudi carrier centers and wrote to the embassy.
One of the 10 recruiting agents, Noor Ali, is accused of monopolizing recruitment in Malaysia and charging high recruitment fees between 2016 and 2018. Abdul Hye, a cohort of Ali, will ultimately be involved in forming any other syndicate it examines.
Under such apprehensions, the Baira individuals held a protest meeting at a hotel on Saturday and a human chain in front of the ministry on Monday. They also held a human chain in front of the Baira office at Bangla Motor.
On Saturday, Baira leaders, along with Nur Ali and their supporters, held a meeting at Dhaka Westin Hotel. The Saudi Embassy’s Head of Consulate, Ibrahim Ali Al-Humaidhi, became a gift there.
Speaking at the event, Ibrahim Ali said the carrier centers are being initiated on orders from the Saudi authorities.
“Soon, we’re shifting to our new construction in a new region. It isn’t easy to deal with all the people who visit the embassy. Our minister isn’t always permitting this collecting in the brand new building.”He additionally said, “The Baira president is our adviser. These carrier centers will operate under his supervision.
“There is a false impression that provider centers will do away with your commercial enterprise. This doesn’t seem right.
They will be the handiest act as submission and shipping centers.”
He stated that if the agents discover any problems, they can come directly to the embassy with a video of Saturday’s occasion.
When contacted, Baira Secretary-General Shameem Ahmed Chowdhury Noman stated that the fear of a section of Basra contributors regarding the Saudi visa service centers is totally baseless.
He stated that introducing the provider centers is completely difficult for the Saudi Embassy. Neither Bangladesh authorities nor Baira have anything to mention about it. But Baira has recommended the concept after the embassy consulted it.
“Baira President Benjir Ahmed MP can supervise the provider centers’ general operation and are doing it for the sake of our individuals,” he instructed The Daily Star.
