Consumer titles
While many patron titles comprise a few food and drink coverage, opportunities are minimal and rather renowned.
Using your goal market, identify which titles are being read and focus your attention on these; it’s better to have a considered, focused campaign on specific topics than a blanket campaign that eventually becomes nothing more than a blip on newshounds’ radar.
There’s a little factor in targeting recipe pages as most of those are written in-house; your quality guess is the ‘Tried and Tested’ and ‘New in store’ slots.
Try to set up a point of contact at each title so that they become acquainted with you and your products—this will increase the likelihood of getting high-quality remarks.
It’s also worth considering going for walk competitions with purchaser titles; assured publicity for a small outlay (i.e., the prize fee) shouldn’t be undervalued.
Always ensure you have an ample supply of samples that you’re inclined to ship to journalists to review your products; keeping them ready may negatively affect your enterprise.
