A British granddad has lacked every week after going to a mountain monastery on a Greek island. John Tossell, 73, sped off to stroll the monastery on Mount Skopos in Zante – but has not returned.
Greek emergency services have been trying to find him; however, no trace has been determined.
His relatives in Bridgend, South Wales, are hoping to track down a couple who spoke to him on the day he went missing.
John’s final confirmed sighting was at a café near the monastery at around 3 pm on Monday, June 17.
He spoke to a woman who turned out to be elderly, between forty-five and fifty-five, with shoulder-length blonde hair, and her partner.
A family member said, “We need to attempt to discover this couple; however, we are also appealing for facts from absolutely everyone who potentially may additionally have seen him on his walk backtrack the mountain but would possibly now have flown home.”
A police helicopter has been looking at the place, and participants of the fire service, port government, and unique disaster reaction unit have been concerned in the search.
