Located among Afyonkarahisar, Eskişehir, Ankara, and Kütahya provinces, the Phrygia Valley, which was promoted with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism’s efforts, could be web hosting local and foreign photography artists on June 15 and June 16. At the second International Phrygia Photofest, more than six hundred photography lovers from Azerbaijan, Iran, Russia, and Turkey get together. With the collaboration of the Governorship and Chamber of Industry and Commerce (ATSO), the competition will occur at Phrygia Valley, Eber Lake, and Akdağ, and the pageant objectives to contribute to the merchandising of the place.
Speaking to Anadolu Agency, the mission coordinator and Afyonkarahisar Phrygia Photography Foundation Chairman of the Board, Murat Özçelik, noted that Phrygia has a 3,000-year history and an important cultural background.
Noting that the part of the valley in the district of İhsaniye began becoming a center of enchantment in terms of nature, history, and traditional tourism, Özçelik delivered, “Both Phrygia Valley and Afyonkarahisar are areas valuable for the United States of America. We organized the first Phrygia Photofest for 12 months nationally and hosted 430 picture fanatics in Afyonkarahisar within the competition’s scope. More than six hundred photography enthusiasts have registered for our international festival this year. Our guests from Azerbaijan, Iran, and Russia will be collected with us these 12 months.”
Rock tombs and fairy chimneys
Özçelik stated that Phrygia is a geography with a special panorama, and the festival attendees will have the chance to view antique towns, rock-carved tombs, and fairy chimneys.
Özçelik similarly stated that the competition might be a two-day festival. The honorary guest of this year’s contest can be İzzet Keribar, the Presidential Culture Arts Award winner. Also, Erdal Kınacı, Burak Şenbak, and Özlem Gün Bingöl could be attending the festival.
There could be “Infrared” and “Creative Photography” workshops along with discussions. The festival members will get the chance to benefit from the wealthy, visible beauties of the valley, and they could do nighttime shoots and famous personal exposure.
“Since that is residing geography, participants will get the chance to take images of the villages within the valley and nature and history pictures. We may even photograph the herbal beauties of Eber Lake and Akdağ,” stated Özçelik.
Photographer Hatice Köken said she has been a picture fanatic for more than five years, and Phrygia Photofest in Afyonkarahisar has added many things to her life.
Köken stated that they’d be selling Phrygia Valley in the most pleasant way feasible at some point during the festival and said they might be expecting quite a few participants in the competition.
“We will visit the natural and historical beauties of Phrygia Valley and Afyonkarahisar, in particular. We may be delighted to welcome photography fans for artwork in our town,” Köken said.
Photographer Sedat Buğa stated that participation in the 2nd International Phrygia Photofest has doubled over the final 12 months. “I believe a photographer can discover the whole lot they seek in Phrygia. Objects appropriate for nature, records, Toronto and macro, and plenty of different photography are to be had here. We can say there is not anything lacking here. Hopefully, this enterprise may be a success,” Buğa stated.
