Bali is regularly perceived as a beyond-bourgeois vacation spot. It is a land of expansive motels and steeply priced payments, where the wealthy can experience the beaches and beautiful temples. But I’m here to tell you that Bali can be skilled in finance—a budget of just $25 per day.
When my husband and I decided to go to Bali, we set a strict $50-a-day spending restriction, which broke down to just $25 in line with man or woman. With a touch of discipline and quite a little research, we have been able to stick to it, averaging simply $ forty-three—Sixty-seven in line with a day between the two folks. (The one we stayed at the preceding night became booked.) This room had a private restroom and a balcony overlooking a courtyard. It cost $14, much less, although this vicinity did not have a pool.
$eleven.Seventy-nine: With time to kill before dinner, we “s” urged” “n one-hour Balinese massages.
As Starbucks is in New York, spas are not unusual in Ubud, so it was easy to discover a spot that mixed a tranquil ecosystem with cleanliness, comfort, and the proper fees for our slender budget.

Nusa Penida—$ forty-nine.Sixty-five
Ubud became beautiful, but it was time to hit the seashore. We went south to Padang BaBai’sarbor.
$four.Sixteen: We took an air-conditioned go-back-and-forth bus to Padang Bai, which we shared with others.
$four.30: The ferry, what the Indonesians call the “s” ow boat,” “takes about an hour and a half to attain Nusa Penida. The non-public “s” eddy boats,” “owever, take just forty minutes to head from coast to coast. However, at minimum, they come with a charge tag of about $thirteen.87 in step with the person. We opted to take the ferry and shop the cash for an excursion we knew we’d do tomorrow.

$5.06: Back at our inn, we returned to Indonesian food, ordering me Goreng—a fried noodle and vegetable dish—and chicken cookbook satay served with peanut sauce and steamed rice.
Day 4: Nusa Penida—$ fifty-eight. 32
$zero.69: After ingesting the breakfast protected at our inn’s rate, we grabbed one thousand-inn’sliter bottle of water to tackle the road. It becomes time to discover the southern tip of the island.
$20.Eighty-one: We broke up a personal driving force fee with a couple of women staying at our motel. The deal turned into this: the driving force could take us everywhere on the island from morning until sunset. We booked him for two days so that we could spend ample time at each place.
